Rumours about “Nikon D810 replacement” has been in the air for a while, but it seems we don’t have to wait for a more official announcement. The Nikon Rumors in their recent post claims that ‘the Nikon D810 replacement (Nikon D850) is rumored to be announced in late July and start shipping in September.’ They also tagged that ‘a potential delay for August is still a possibility’ since an exact announcement date is still not leaked.
Nikon D850 Rumored Specifications:
• The camera will be called D850 (D820 is still a possibility)
• 45-46MP sensor
• Improved low and high ISO
• New and improved version of SnapBridge
• No built-in GPS
• Tiltable LCD screen
• Memory card slots: one SD and one XQD
• AF system from the D5
There is also a rumour that the next D800 series camera will have customized version of Sony 7r II sensor since the Nikon D810 is using Sony A7R’s 36 megapixel full frame sensor. Nikon D810 was announced on June 26 2014 and has completed approx 3 successful years. The fans and the users are anxiously waiting for its successor.
